“Each of us has a unique part to play in the healing of the world.”
-Marianne Williamson,
So a little about me, I started my personal healing journey like many others during the pandemic in 2020. I became attracted to holistic medicine and the ideas that we heal ourselves through movement, affirmations and self reflection. Although new to the professional side of holistic health, I’ve always had a connection to this view of life. With a passion for yoga, meditation, and finding the good in people, massage quickly became a way to further connect myself to the world.
My number one goal, for my client, is like a weighing scale. I want you to be relaxed and comfortable, taking a moment for yourself to disconnect from the outside world; while doing various body mechanics providing a therapeutic side to help you physically feel better than when you came in. “Healing hands” is a term many of my previous clients used to describe my massage style, and I strive to provide the same healing to my new clients at Phoenix!

Dr. Brenda Covell is a graduate of the New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY. Her last year in chiropractic college brought her back to Buffalo to complete her studies. Seeing the revitalization of the city and the opportunity to partner with Phoenix Rising in the newly renovated 500 Seneca Building, she founded Covell Chiropractic in July of 2016.
Dr. Covell is highly trained in many treatment techniques including: Diversified adjusting, Activator instrument assisted adjusting, various soft tissue techniques (such as ART and Graston), whole foods nutrition, yoga therapy, postural correction and rehabilitative exercises.
Dr. Covell is certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) in Webster Technique. This technique assists in the assessment and correction of pelvic imbalances in the pregnant patient. Chiropractic care during pregnancy can relieve tension on the pelvis, helping the baby achieve optimal positioning. This can reduce labor and delivery time, as well as make mom more comfortable throughout pregnancy! Since the birth of her son in 2019 Dr. Covell has devoted even more time to furthering her knowledge on pregnancy and postpartum care. She believes every woman deserves the best support through this life-changing time.
Dr. Covell currently serves as the Vice President of the local district of the New York State Chiropractic Association. The NYSCA works to further the profession, provide mentorship to chiropractic students and support current evidence-based care for patients.
In her spare time Dr. Covell enjoys skiing, paddle boarding, yoga and outside time with her family.

I have been working as a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 26 years. I had my own practice for 11 years. I worked 4 seasons with the professional indoor soccer team Buffalo Blizzard. I was honored to have performed massage for Hospice patients. The bulk of my career, 16 years, was with the Buffalo Sabres until 2017 as the Team Massage Therapist. I have made myself available as a mobile massage therapist as well. I am now also an Independent LMT Consultant for the Buffalo Bisons AAA Baseball team.
My clientele has ranged from high school athletes, weekend warriors, professional athletes, stressed parents, to even the terminally ill. Over the years, I have studied various techniques, ranging from Swedish to sports massage. What works for one client won’t always work for another. I have learned to combine techniques and design approaches based on client tolerances and circumstances. I am passionate about helping people achieve a healthy balanced life free of pain and stress using massage, stretching, and exercise. Well hello! I’m Mallory, just a girl from Atlanta trying to make it in Buffalo! At an early age, long before I had experienced massage, I knew that I wanted to be a healer. With the advice and encouragement from my Craniosacral Therapist, I began my journey in bodywork and healing. I graduated from Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health in 2007 and have been a licensed massage therapist since 2008. I have always loved using craniosacral therapy to compliment massage, and over time it has become integral to my sessions. Recently I’ve decided to go all in and focus on craniosacral therapy! I received my training at the Upledger Institute and have been loving being a part of the healing process of every body I see. All of us have the innate ability to heal ourselves, and I am honored to help you be your best you!
